Cambridgeshire Chambers seek representation on the Cambridge and South Cambridgeshire committee
The Cambridge & South Cambridgeshire Chamber is looking to strengthen its committee by recruiting new representatives.
As the largest in the region, the Cambridge & South Cambridgeshire Chamber is the main contributor to the activities of the region’s chambers of commerce. This House committee represents the largest group of local businesses and directly feeds the Board of Governors of the Chambers.
The Cambridge & South Cambridgeshire Chamber has diverse members ranging from sole proprietorships to corporations spanning multinational operations across a wide range of industries. To better serve these members, it is imperative that the committee be representative of the many types and sizes of businesses in the region.
Positions are open to existing members and non-members of the House who wish to join the House to serve on the committee.
The committee focuses on three key aspects of doing business – tackling bigger issues as a collective, including the green agenda and labor shortages in the region; influencing decision-making on local issues and regional policy such as access to the city, local workforce development and transport in the region; and Chamber projects, including our program of events, trainings and workshops on topics ranging from supply chain to skills shortages.
Faye Holland, Chair of the Cambridge & South Cambridgeshire Committee and Founder and Director of the multi-award winning co-funded PR and Marketing consultancy firm, said: âI really want to encourage business leaders to join us and make a difference. .
