Community rooms combine to create the very first chocolate party

January 6 – It’s not “Charlie and the Chocolate Factory”, but it’s pretty close.

The Tipton County Chamber of Commerce Triad, Westfield Chamber of Commerce and Zionsville Chamber of Commerce have come together to create the inaugural Hoosier Chocolate Fest to be held February 11-12 at Bridgewater Country Club, 3535 E 161st St., Carmel.

“This is an event that will become a new tradition for people to attend before Valentine’s Day,” Zionsville House executive director Allyson Gutwein said in a press release. “Our chambers are working collaboratively with the business community to create an event that not only showcases the best of Hoosier chocolates, but creates a strong connection with the communities we serve.”

The chocolate-filled exhibit features various local businesses that distribute sweet treats, including cakes, donuts, truffles, mousses, brownies, and chocolate drinks.

“We are delighted to partner with Zionsville and Westfield Chambers at this event to showcase our local chocolatiers,” said Kegan Schmicker, Executive Director of the Tipton County Chamber. “While this is only an event, we hope this will be the start of a greater collaboration between Tipton County and the communities of Zionsville and Westfield.”

Westfield Chamber Executive Director Steve Latour expressed similar sentiments, saying, “We are delighted to be highlighting the City of Westfield and businesses in North Hamilton County. We look forward to the success and continued growth of this event with our fellow Chambers. “
