Glasgow City Chambers to be the location of Hollywood blockbusters and TV series in 2016
You might have noticed a few famous faces around Glasgow in the past few weeks.
We spotted Hollywood star Glenn Close on Ingram Street last week as she shoots for new movie The Wife, alongside True Romance actor Christian Slater who has proven he loves Tantrum donuts.
Glasgow City Chambers also hosted the filming of other scenes from Close’s new film this weekend, as production draws to a close in Glasgow.
And it’s not just the Hollywood blockbusters that are filmed in our quaint town.
The BBC’s adaptation of the real-life serial killer drama 10 Rillington Place – which airs this Wednesday – was also filmed in the City Chambers, as well as other locations such as church halls, the Water Bus terminal on the Clyde, the West End and Tradeston.
Starring Tim Roth and Samantha Morton, the three-part drama tells the true story of murderer John Christie, who committed multiple Notting Hill murders in the 1940s and 1950s.
