Oakland to host California Hispanic Chambers of Commerce

The California Hispanic Chambers of Commerce (CHCC) will host its 43rd annual statewide convention, annual event and four-day occasion, in Oakland, California this year in August.

All over 815,000 Hispanic businesses in the western US state along with also 1,500 attendees, business executives and members from over 120 local and regional chambers nationwide will be there.

“We are very pleased to have chosen the city of Oakland as the site of our 43rd annual statewide convention,” said Julian Canete, president and CEO of the Hispanic Chambers of Commerce of California, in a statement. “Oakland is such a vibrant and energetic city with a wonderfully diverse population and an array of many cultures. Our members are excited to visit Oakland and enjoy its fantastic food scene, arts, music, attractions and everything the city has to offer.”

The opportunity to hear from local chamber of commerce leaders and their plans to keep Oakland’s thriving business community will be given, in addition to learning about future investments from the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF) in Oakland.

“The theme for the 2022 convention is BE ALL IN, highlighting the tenacity, dedication, courage, perspective of our diverse small business owners, their vision of pursuing their dreams and ambitions. As we go As our organization grows and thrives, we seek inspiration from individuals who are willing to take risks and inspire,” Oakland Latino Chamber of Commerce, said.

In addition, the Convention will organize workshops on access to capital, business-education partnerships and workforce development. Other sessions will celebrate Latino CEOs, focus on corporate philanthropy and provide other networking opportunities.

“We look forward to celebrating as a business community the success we’ve grown together and reimagining an economic future we’re driving together,” said the Oakland Latino Chamber of Commerce, said.

“We are convinced that many of the evils we encounter, whether in business success or in obtaining loans, are all knowledge-based,” added Julian Canete, President and CEO of the statewide organization.

Since its inception 40 years ago, CHCC has been committed to bringing the issues and needs that affect Hispanic and diverse small businesses to the forefront of the Californian and national economic agendas, and to working to find solutions to these problems and needs.

The 2022 annual statewide convention will take place August 10-13 at the Oakland City Center Marriott.
