Fenelon Falls & District Chamber of Commerce, in partnership with Bobcaygeon & Area Chamber of Commerce, Coboconk, Norland & Area Chamber of Commerce, Haliburton BIA, Haliburton Highlands Chamber of Commerce, Downtown Lindsay BIA and Lindsay & The District Chamber of Commerce announces the launch of a new campaign called Keepin ‘It Local.

Developed with funding from the Ontario Chamber of Commerce, Keepin ‘It Local aims to energize local businesses in Kawartha Lakes, Trent Lakes and Haliburton County by encouraging individuals to prioritize local purchases.

Keepin ‘It Local has two main goals: to raise awareness and increase the visibility of existing local businesses, and to celebrate the diversity and uniqueness of local businesses based in our region. In addition, the focus is on businesses run or owned by women. The campaign will also increase the marketing of shopping, dining and annual events during the holiday season.

The campaign includes:

  • A landing page with a consistent branding image, as well as personalized marketing materials and toolkits for each chamber of commerce or BIA.
  • Video interviews with local businesses / business owners to provide in-depth, personalized insight into how local purchasing can impact community health and engagement.
  • Regional photography and videography to showcase opportunities in Kawartha Lakes and Haliburton County
  • Multifaceted advertising; radio, print, online and bulletin board to reach a larger audience, as well as social media ads, brand banners and brochures to provide greater reach.

The campaign committee will work with local businesses and the media to ensure grant funds stay here and create economic growth. More information about the campaign can be found on the Keepin ‘It Local website and on Instagram:
